March 18, 2021, annual business meeting - draft
An update from the American Osteopathic Association was presented by AOA President Thomas L. Ely, DO, FACOFP, FAAFP; and the Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine was accepted as a new chapter in the Student American Academy of Osteopathy (SAAO).

A Constitution and Bylaws amendment was approved for vetting of all nominations for elected offices and a motion to change the wording for an international affiliate member was defeated.

February 17, 2021, special meeting of the AAO membership
Elections of officers and members of the Nominating Committee were suspended for one year.

March 12, 2020, annual business meeting
Officers elected were: president, Paul R. Rennie, DO, FAAO; president-elect, Richard G. Schuster, DO; and trustees, Michael S. Carnes, DO, FAAO; and William Harry Stager, DO, MS, MPH, FAAFP, FAAMA, FAAO, FACOFP dist.; resident trustee, Frank Patrick Goodman, DO, MS; and student trustee, Marija Rowane, OMS III.

An update from the American Osteopathic Association was presented by AOA President Ronald Burns, DO, FACOFP; Academy award recipient was Johannes Mayer, MD, DOM (Germany); and Resident of the Year recipient was Frank Patrick Goodman, DO, MS. Inaugural recipient of the Anne Wales, DO, Award for Excellence in Education of Osteopathic Clinicians was William H. Devine, DO; and the Delaware Valley Academy of Osteopathy was accepted as a new AAO component society.

Constitution and Bylaws amendments were approved for AAO full membership to include non-osteopathic applicants, secretary-treasurer position was re-formatted with added requirements, the term of service for a governor were further defined, and minor editorial updates were made to several sections.

Special request was made by Barbara Ann Zajdel, DO, FAAO, AOBNMM Chairperson, requesting volunteers from the membership to get involved with the NMM/OMM certification process by providing item writing services.

Officers elected were: president, Kendi L. Hensel, DO, PhD, FAAO; president-elect, Paul R. Rennie, DO, FAAO; new trustees, Kurt P. Heinking, DO, FAAO; resident trustee, Amy Joy Selwach, DO, MBA; student trustee, Danielle D. Dukes, OMS IV, and re-elected trustee Stefan Hagopian, DO, FAAO.

An update from the American Osteopathic Association was presented by AOA President William S. Mayo, DO. Academy award recipient was Robert Orenstein, DO, FIDSA, FACP, AAHIVS, and Resident of the Year recipient was Malinda (Mindy) M. Hansen, DO.

Officers elected were: president, Catherine M. Kimball, DO; president-elect, Kendi L. Hensel, DO, PhD; new trustees, Millicent King Channell, DO, FAAO; Karen T. Snider, DO, FAAO and re-elected trustees Stephan Hagopian, DO, FAAO, and Richard G. Schuster, DO; resident trustee, Marta E. Bringhurst, DO; and student trustee, Paula M. Archer, OMS III.

An update from the American Osteopathic Association was presented by AOA President-elect William S. Mayo, DO. Academy award recipient was Sidney Dunn and Resident of the Year recipient was Jacob J. Cukierski, DO.

Officers elected were: president, Michael P. Rowane, DO, MS, FAAFP, FAAO; president-elect, Catherine M. Kimball, DO; and trustees, Heather P. Ferrill, DO, MS MEdL (re-elected); and Sheldon C. Yao, DO; resident trustee, Marta E. Bringhurst, DO; and student trustee, Amber M. Brown, OMS III.

An update from the American Osteopathic Association was presented by AOA President Boyd R. Buser, DO, FACOFP. Academy award recipient was Angela Cole Westhoff, MA; and Resident of the Year recipient was Lauren J. Leslie, DO.

Constitution and Bylaws amendments were approved to allow resident and student member liaisons a vote on AAO committees, and duplicate items were deleted from several sections.

March 16, 2016, annual business meeting
Officers elected were: president, Laura E. Griffin, DO, FAAO; president-elect, Michael P. Rowane, DO, MS, FAAO, FAAFP; and secretary-treasurer, Judith A. O’Connell, DO, MPH, FAAO; and trustees, Kendi L. Hensel, DO, PhD (re-elected); and Paul R. Rennie, DO, FAAO; resident trustee, Jared E. Dropkin, DO; and student trustee, Sierra A. Grasso, OMS IV.

Visiting from the American Osteopathic Association was AOA President John W. Becher, DO. Academy award recipient was Paul R. Standley, PhD, and Resident of the Year recipient was Kristie M. Petree, DO.

Visiting from the AOA was Mark S. Cantieri, DO, FAAO, AOA trustee. Academy award recipient was Diana L. Finley, CMP, and Resident of the Year recipient was Eileen M. Conaway, DO.

Special meeting of the membership in June approved the constitution and bylaws amendments to add a student member to the AAO Board of Trustees, and that members of the Board of Trustees must also be a member in good standing with the American Osteopathic Association.

Officers elected were: president, Kenneth J. Lossing, DO; president-elect, Doris B. Newman, DO; trustees, Heather P. Ferrill, DO; and Catherine M. Kimball, DO.

Visiting from the AOA were Norman E. Vinn, DO, AOA President; Robert S. Juhasz, DO, AOA President-elect; and Adrienne White-Faines, AOA Executive Director. Academy award recipient was Richard A. Vincent and Resident of the Year recipient was Eileen M. Conaway, DO.

Constitution and Bylaws amendments were approved to add a resident member to the Board of Trustees, establish a Supporter membership category, and to clarify component society membership and reporting requirements.

Officers elected were: president, David Coffey, DO, FAAO; president-elect, Kenneth J. Lossing, DO; secretary-treasurer, Judith A. O’Connell, DO, FAAO; trustees, Kendi L. Hensel, DO, PhD; Michael P. Rowane, DO, FAAO; and Catherine M. Kimball, DO.

Visiting from the AOA was Norman E. Vinn, DO, AOA President-elect. Academy award recipient was Michael E. Fitzgerald, BA and Resident of the Year recipient was Michael A. Chipman, DO.

Constitution and Bylaws amendments were approved to clarify the definition of the Full membership category and remove the category of paid Life Membership.

Representing the AOA was Boyd R. Buser, DO and award recipients were: Academy award, Michael M. Patterson, PhD and Resident of the Year, Leslie Mae-Gen Ching, DO.

Special request was made by Melicien A. Tettambel, DO, FAAO, AOBNMM Chairperson, encouraging the membership to get involved with the NMM/OMM certification process.
