The Louisa Burns Osteopathic Research Committee (LBORC) and the National Undergraduate Fellows Association (NUFA) are calling for submissions to their annual Research Poster Presentation. Posters will be displayed in the exhibit hall on Thursday, March 23, and Friday, March 24, during the 2017 Convocation at The Broadmoor.
The LBORC-NUFA Research Poster Presentation is open to osteopathic medical students, interns, residents, researchers and practicing physicians. An author of each poster must be a member of the AAO or the Student American Academy of Osteopathy. The primary author must be present during the poster judging at Convocation.
Ram’s head trophies will be presented to SAAO members who win first place in each of the three poster categories: original research, single case study, and education and public health.
Poster judging will take place Thursday, March 23, 2017, between 6 and 7 p.m., and winners will be announced at the student awards ceremony and at the president’s banquet on Saturday, March 25, 2017. Judges earn Category 1-A CME for participating. Indicate your willingness to volunteer when you register for Convocation.
Primary authors will be asked to sign an AAO copyright agreement so that the Academy may publish all of the posters on the AAO’s website. Signing the agreement does not prevent investigators from submitting full articles on their research to peer-reviewed journals, such as The AAO Journal and The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association.
