Renew Your AAO Membership

The AAO's membership year extends from Aug. 1 through July 31. Prorated memberships are not available at this time.

Review your member benefits.

If you received a dues renewal notice…
  1. Log in to your profile at www.academyofosteopathy.org.
  2. On the main menu, go to Shop > My Active Invoices.
  3. Select the invoice(s) you wish to pay.
  4. Click View Cart.
  5. From the shopping cart, click update settings.
  6. Confirm your information in the membership application.
  7. On Page 1 of the application, confirm your membership type to ensure you will pay the correct rate. An incorrect membership type may delay your renewal.
  8. On Page 7, click Save Application
  9. Your membership renewal will be processed when you complete the checkout process.

If you are a lapsed member or if you are renewing in advance…

  1. Log in to your profile at www.academyofosteopathy.org.
  2. On the main menu, go to Shop > AAO Membership.
  3. Add the renewal item to your shopping cart.
  4. From the shopping cart, click update settings.
  5. Confirm your information in the membership application.
  6. On Page 1 of the application, confirm your membership type to ensure you will pay the correct rate. An incorrect membership type may delay your renewal.
  7. On Page 7, click Save Application
  8. Your membership renewal will be processed when you complete the checkout process.

AAO Loses Past President Robert E. Kappler, DO, FAAODist, FCA

AAO life member Robert E. Kappler, DO, FAAODist, of River Grove, Illinois, died Oct. 18. Dr. Kappler was the 1980-81 president of the Academy, and he was a recipient of the AAO’s Andrew Taylor Still Medallion of Honor and the FAAO’s Distinguished Service Award.

Call for Research Proposals: Due Dec. 1

The AAO’s Louisa Burns Osteopathic Research Committee (LBORC) is seeking research applications involving health care outcomes in the practice of osteopathic medicine, with an emphasis on using osteopathic manipulative medicine or treatment (OMM/OMT) in patient care.
