National Undergraduate Fellows Association

NUFA, the National Undergraduate Fellows Association was created in 1993 at the urging of several undergraduate fellows from various osteopathic colleges. The Undergraduate American Academy of Osteopathy (UAAO) is the student branch of the American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO), which is one of 26 practice affiliates of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). The UAAO is dedicated to increasing students' awareness of osteopathic principles and practice, particularly osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM). NUFA supports opportunities for students to learn and practice OMM skills through workshops and classes. These are designed to expose students to variety of OMM techniques that supplement the regular curriculum. Most importantly, the UAAO and NUFA provide unique opportunities for students to interact with their colleagues across the nation as they work together toward the development of their osteopathic careers.
