Every March the American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO) convenes an annual meeting known as the Convocation of the American Academy of Osteopathy. This gathering offers classes, workshops, and lectures to physicians and students geared toward improving osteopathic manipulative skills and philosophy.
Annual Elections and Business Meeting

The location for PAAO annual business meeting is TBA. Please plan to attend so that you may be updated on current NMM/OMM topics, what the PAAO has accomplished this year, and our work towards the future. Elections for PAAO positions will also be held at this time.

Resident of the Year Award
This year, the American Academy of Osteopathy will be accepting nominations for the AAO Resident of the Year Award. This award gives AAO an opportunity to recognize an outstanding osteopathic resident-physician. Individuals nominated for this honor must exhibit osteopathic principles and practices at their residency programs and encourage other residents, faculty and students to continue to use osteopathic principles and practice during their residency career. To Whom Awarded: The Award shall be conferred by the Academy to recognize the Resident who has contributed that year to the Academy, to osteopathic principles and practices in their residency program, and has participated in Academy events, including, but not limited to, AAO Convocation, AOA Annual Convention, and/or other AAO educational programs. Nominations: Nominees must be members of the AOA and PAAO. Nominations must be made via any AAO component society or osteopathic-approved residency program. Only one nomination per component society or residency program will be accepted. The submission deadline is November 31, 2010. Required Information:From the Nominator: 1. A completed nomination form. 2. A letter describing how the nominee meets the above listed criteria. From the Nominee: 1. A current CV or resume. 2. A personal statement (of less than one page) describing your commitment to the osteopathic profession, professional accomplishments, leadership skills and personal attributes that make you deserving of this award.
