PAAO at the AOA Convocation

Every autumn, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) holds their Annual Convention. This year the convention is held in New Orleans, on November 1-5 2009. During the convention, the AAO holds a number of workshops focused on osteopathic manipulative medicine.

AAO Program Chairperson David Mason, DO has organized the AAO program around the theme Osteopathic Foundations of Clinical Practice, Case Studies and Treatment.
Dr. Mason’s program includes six half-day, hands-on workshops providing
case studies relative to pediatrics, geriatrics, neuromusculoskeletal
medicine, obstetrics-Gynecology, internal medicine and sports medicine.

The Academy’s Thomas L. Northup, DO, FAAO Memorial Lecture is
scheduled at 12:15 pm on Monday, November 2 as part of AAO’s didactic
program. Kenneth H. Johnson, DO, FAAO, will deliver the 2009 Northup Lecture entitled, “Osteopathy – The Journey that Doesn’t End”.
