Hello! We are the officers of the 2009-2010 PAAO Committee!
As your representatives to the AAO and AOA, we hope that you will feel free to contact us with thoughts, questions, and ideas to make this year one of the best ever!
Ever since embarking on the medical education path I have had a strongcommitment to osteopathic medicine. Over the past 2 years Ihave been a representative on the AOA Committee of Professional Publicationsand just recently became a newly elected board member of Florida Academy ofOsteopathy. As a PAAO Chair, it is my greatest hope to further PAAO goals insupporting interns and residents by promoting osteopathic principles andpractice in postgraduate training programs and providing AAO representation atthe AOA level.
I reached medical school not knowing much about OMT at all, then after that first treatment I knew I was home. I've been involved with UAAO since that first year as chapter Secretary, then moved on to the National UAAO Executive Council as Secretary/Treasurer for 2yrs. I've had so much fun with every aspect of UAAO, it was easy for me to want to join the PAAO and involve myself as a resident. My hope is to make that involvement more ubiquitous between osteopathic residents and increase our numbers. I'll be looking forward to seeing you!
