Returns home to the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs!

Where the UAAO hangs out with the AAO
Every March the AAO convenes an annual meetign known as Convocation. This is an extremely student friendly convention that offers classes, workshops, and lectures to physicians and students. UAAO members have the opportunity to meet with and learn from some of the best osteopathic physicians from around the country or even the world
Events and activities include:
- Evening with the stars
- The student social
- A. Hollis Wolf Competition
- Daily workshops
- Lectures
- Opportunities to make contacts for 3rd and 4th year rotations
- Meet other sudents from every Osteopathic school in the country
Options for traveling and lodging:
Airports:
- Denver
- Colorado Springs
Hotels:
– Broadmoor $169/night
– Several Hotels in Colorado Springs ( ~ 3 miles away) $85 and up/night
Rental Car: Only necessary if driving in from Denver or staying in Colorado Springs and not at the Broadmoor. I saw a 5 passenger vehicle for $600 a week out of the Denver airport.
Pros and Cons: You may save money by flying into Denver, renting a car for a week and staying at a less expensive hotel in Colorado Springs. The down side is you will be away from all the fun and action at the Broadmoor and will spend valuable time commuting back and forth.
