Theme: Neuromusculoskeletal Physiology and the Osteopathic Concept

Those who engage in OMT practice do so comfortably and confidently within their clinical environments. Most agree the neurophysiological mechanisms behind their success are not as important as the clinical outcomes. This Convocation hopes to broaden the conversation about how neuromusculoskeletal physiology supports the osteopathic concept. The purpose is not to change what works but to conceptualize the role of OMT in optimizing musculoskeletal function. Blending the student and the physician lectures/workshops is purposeful in the hope that broadening this conversation leads to defining the neurophysiological mechanisms behind our success.
