AOBNMM Orals Certification Board Prep - CME Course
Thursday, September 14, 2023, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM EDT
Category: Events

Course Description
The initial AOBNMM board exam has three components: written, oral, and practical. By a significant margin, whenever a resident fails an initial attempt taking the board exam, it is due to failure of the oral portion. Per discussion with first time test takers, the oral portion is the least familiar format following their residency. Preparation for the oral portion tends to be less commonly available or performed than either the written or practical portions. Failure of board exams due to inadequate performance, or mastery of material is reasonable. Lack of familiarity with the format is not a reason people should fail a first exam as it does not measure mastery of the material. More exposure to the oral board format is needed for our residents. This course will be live only; recordings will not be made available. Medical students are ineligible for this course.
